Our Love Story

Once upon a time, there was a joyful and funny guy named Stuart, and a slightly serious yet equally cheerful woman named Zarah. In the heart of downtown Calgary, Alberta, their fates aligned at Bow Valley College. Their story began in 2017 when they met while attending the Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada program.

The two quickly became friends, with Zarah introducing Stuart to her close circle of friends, who were also studying at the same school. They often spent time together after class and during school breaks, forming a bond that grew stronger with each passing day.

One day, Stuart invited Zarah to the cinema to watch Wonder Woman. Respectful as always, he first sought permission from Zarah’s brother, who was also part of their friend group. Trusting Stuart’s character, her brother happily agreed. Over time, their friendship deepened through countless conversations—sharing stories, supporting each other through tough times, and celebrating life’s joys.

Eventually, Stuart confessed his feelings to Zarah. To his delight, she felt the same way. After three months of thoughtful courtship, on December 8, 2017, Zarah said yes to being in a relationship with Stuart. That day, amidst a gathering of friends at Zarah’s home, Stuart arrived with a bouquet of flowers to formally express his intentions to Zarah’s parents, proudly announcing their relationship.

Like any couple, they faced challenges along the way, but their love and understanding only grew stronger. They supported each other, became each other’s rock, and filled the missing pieces in each other’s lives. As their relationship flourished, they decided to grow their family and welcomed a beautiful baby into their lives.

Stuart eventually proposed to Zarah, and the two became engaged. However, their wedding plans were postponed several times due to their busy lives—Zarah balancing the demands of nursing school, first-time motherhood, and work, while Stuart juggled two jobs and fatherhood. Despite the delays, they never wavered in their love and commitment to each other.

Now, they are overjoyed to announce that their long-awaited special day is finally here. With grateful hearts, they pray for the Lord’s blessings of peace and love as they prepare to begin their forever together.
