Our Love Story

Some love stories begin with a grand moment.

Ours began quietly. An ordinary encounter that neither of us knew would someday become something extraordinary.

We first met in 2022 through training activities, where our paths crossed as we worked together within the training center. There was nothing remarkable about our first meeting. Just a simple, unexpected encounter that slowly grew into friendship.

In 2023, we stayed in touch through casual conversations. Simple greetings, little check-ins, life updates, and the occasional, “How have you been?” Nothing more, nothing less. We were simply two people who enjoyed having each other around.

Then came 2025, the Lord wrote the most unexpected plot twist of our lives.

Ronnen reached out to Claire once again, asking how life had been. Neither of us knew that one simple conversation would become the beginning of a story we would one day call our own.

Our conversations slowly became more than casual chats. They grew into meaningful talks filled with laughter, encouragement, comfort, and understanding. Somewhere between the long conversations and the little moments, something began to change.
Little by little, we found comfort in each other.

And on June 9, 2025, what had quietly been growing in our hearts became something real. Ronnen flew all the way from Basilan, his area of assignment, to Iloilo, Claire’s area of assignment, simply to express his intentions in person. He came with a sincere heart and one question. And he received a yes.

We never rushed what was meant to grow. We simply allowed it to unfold naturally, trusting that what was meant for us would find its way.

Along the way, we discovered the little things we both loved; peaceful views that made us feel free, quiet moments together, favorite coffee shops, comfort food, spontaneous little adventures, and the simple joy of having someone beside you.

Then, exactly one year after that first “yes,” on the same date that began our journey as a couple, he asked a different question. The kind of question that would change everything.  No grand setup, no audience, and no cameras. Just the two of us ~ He asked to choose him for all the years ahead. And with all the love in our hearts, we said yes to forever.

Our love was built slowly and steadily. A love rooted in friendship, strengthened by respect, nurtured by time, and held together by faith.

It began with two people who simply crossed paths, became friends, found comfort in each other, in God’s perfect timing, found a love worth choosing for a lifetime.

It started as an ordinary encounter became an unexpected love.
It started with a simple conversation became a beautiful chapter.

And now, by His grace, our story unfolds into the forever we prayed for
