Nikko+Honey Love Story

It all began in 2016 at Euromed Laboratories, Inc., where two pharmacists—Nikko and Honey—crossed paths. Though they were both in the same profession, their roles kept them in separate departments: Nikko worked as a Warehouse Pharmacist, while Honey was part of the Production and Packaging team. Their first interaction was sparked by a small conflict when Nikko noticed a mistake Honey made in releasing their line’s goods. What started as a professional disagreement eventually led to their first meeting.

Honey's colleague, Joya, took matters into her own hands and insisted Nikko ask for Honey’s number. The shy exchange happened on the back of a notebook, and shortly after, Honey received a text message from Nikko. The sparks were immediate, and they set out on their first date—catching a movie at SM Dasmariñas.

But life had different plans. Nikko was transferred to a depot out of town, and a month later, he returned bearing gifts—Napoleones from Bacolod, a sweet gesture to show he had been thinking of Honey. They went out a couple more times, even judging a gay contest together. But despite their growing connection, the universe seemed to conspire against them, and they parted ways.

The years passed, and they both moved on with life, but fate wasn’t done with them. In 2020, amid the uncertainty of a pandemic, Nikko and Honey reconnected through social media. With the world in chaos, they decided to meet one fateful September night. Their destination? Tagaytay. But, as with all things in their journey, the universe had other plans—shops in Tagaytay closed at 7 pm due to enhanced quarantine measures, and they arrived at 9. Undeterred, they drove back to Manila and found themselves in Tomas Morato, settling for McDonald’s takeout and eating it in the parking lot. It was a simple night, yet it felt like the most perfect moment they’d ever shared.

On November 9, 2020, they officially became a couple, marking the beginning of a new chapter together. The following months were filled with more trials, from navigating the pandemic to multiple COVID-positive scares, but their bond only grew stronger. The world was slowly recovering, and so were they.

With the pandemic behind them, they traveled together to places they’d only dreamed of—Baguio, Bohol, Coron—and each journey deepened their connection. Then, on May 2, 2024, while on a romantic getaway in Boracay, Nikko took a moment to make a dream come true. After Honey jokingly mentioned someone would treat them to fine dining at a five-star hotel, Nikko got down on one knee and asked for Honey’s hand in marriage.

And now, after years of love, adventure, and growth, Nikko and Honey are set to marry on May 3, 2025, making their love story official in the most beautiful way possible—a journey that began with a chance encounter, survived the challenges of life, and now, will be celebrated forever.

Their love has defied time, distance, and circumstance. They’ve proven that sometimes, the best things in life come when you least expect them, but always at the right time.
