Our Love Story
They say home is a place, but for Jasmin and Michael, home was a 15-inch laptop screen.
Their story began in 2014 through mutual friends. Separated by thousands of miles and different time zones, they somehow found their way to each other. What started with a simple Facebook friend request soon became years of late-night conversations, Skype calls that lasted until sunrise, endless anime discussions, airport reunions, tearful goodbyes, and countless countdowns to the next time they could finally be together.
A special chapter in their story belongs to Michael's unforgettable three-day wait for Jasmin to accept his friend request. To this day, he insists it was the longest three days of his life.
As Jasmin lovingly puts it, “Nag pinahulat-hulat pa ako, hiya man la gihapon akon magiging end game.”
Over the years, they learned that love is not measured by distance but by the effort two people are willing to make for each other. It wasn't always easy, but they held on to one simple truth:
"Kung gusto, may paraan. Kung ayaw, may dahilan."
No matter how many miles stood between them, they always found a way back to each other.
Then came December 2024, a moment years in the making. Michael finally fulfilled a promise he had made back in 2015: to take Jasmin to the breathtaking beauty of Batanes. Amidst the stunning views and the memories they had waited so long to create together, he got down on one knee and asked the question that had been written in their hearts for years.
For Jasmin, the answer was easy.
"It was the easiest 'yes' of my life."
Now, in 2026, they look forward to the next chapter of their story, surrounded by the family and friends who have witnessed their journey from the very beginning. The people who celebrated every reunion, encouraged them through every goodbye, and believed in their love across every mile.
From a simple admiration through a screen to a lifetime of love.
From long-distance to forever.
And after all these years, they are finally coming home to each other
