A  Love Written by Fate and Faith

From the time they were kids, he would often tease her after class, which is why she noticed him. Their classmates constantly teased them, saying they had a crush on each other. They were the perfect tandem—a pair that just seemed meant to be. But as life unfolded, they had to part ways after Grade 4, transferring to different schools. As the years passed, they lost touch, their paths no longer crossing—not even through high school.

Then college came, and little did they know, fate had plans to reconnect them. A special verse they both cherished, Jeremiah 29:11—"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."—became a guiding light in their journey.

One day, he saw her from a distance, walking along the road. After so many years apart, that fleeting moment stirred something deep inside him—a hope, a whisper from God that their paths were meant to cross again.

Then, God made it happen.

A reunion with their elementary classmates gave them the perfect chance to reconnect. That simple gathering rekindled something that had been waiting for the right time to bloom. He started chatting with her often, checking in, and soon, he found himself calling her every night. It was 2018, their fourth year in college, when he finally gathered the courage to confess his feelings and ask to court her.

In November 2018, she said yes.

Determined to show his sincerity, he made every effort to visit her at school, which is 3 hours away from his town, ensuring she felt his unwavering support and dedication. After graduation, they pursued their careers and found good jobs. More than just a romantic pursuit, he was committed to protecting their relationship, building a foundation of trust, and keeping God at the center of their love and journey as a couple.

From that moment on, they grew together, supporting each other through every milestone. They celebrated each other's successes and stood by one another through every challenge, strengthening their bond with faith, patience, and love. And always holding on to another promise from Isaiah 60:22—"When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen."

And He did.

In April 2023, he proposed to her, and she said yes again—this time, for a lifetime. Now, as they prepare to step into the beautiful journey of marriage, they know that every separation, every waiting season, and every moment of faith has led them right here.

It’s their time to shine—as husband and wife.
