Our Love Story

We first met at an event where both of us were participants — it was the baptism of our godchild. We became the godfather and godmother.

At first, our friends were just teasing us. Then after a day, my buddy, who’s also her co-godparent, told me he would give me Edarie’s FB account. So I checked her account first — you know, like stalking 😅 — just in case there was something from her past. But I didn’t find anything, so I messaged her.

My first message was "hi mare" with a laugh, and from there our conversation just got longer and longer.

For our first date, we went to Kalunbarak Skyline Ridge. After that we went to my house and I introduced her to my parents because she really wanted to visit us and meet them.

On our second date, we went to Samal Island. That’s where we really got to know each other more and became comfortable with one another.

Then last January 2025, we went to Edarie’s house because it was her grandma’s last night. All of her relatives were there and she introduced me to each one of them. From then on, we were open with both of our parents.

After that we kept going back to each other’s places until the questions and teasing started: "What are your plans? You’ve been together for a while, when is the wedding?" I just laughed and said, "next time, God willing."

Even my family started asking when the pamamanhikan would be. So we finally decided to go ahead with it. And that’s why we now have September 26, 2026 set.
