Our Love Story

*One unexpected question. One simple yes. A lifetime of choosing each other.*

Our story began in college, where we became classmates in ROTC. He would often approach her with random questions about the class schedule, making him a familiar face even before either of us knew what was about to unfold.

One day, we crossed paths again at a basketball court right in front of her house. A smile and a little small talk after the game turned into another unexpected encounter. But here's the plot twist: he was actually trying to help his cousin, who had a crush on her, by asking if his cousin could court her.

Her response? If his cousin couldn't even approach her or introduce himself, how was he supposed to court her?

Then came the unexpected question:

**“Eh ako, puwede ba?”**

“Yes or no lang ang sagot.”

Caught off guard and fresh from a bad breakup, she said yes. Neither of us expected that a spontaneous question and a simple answer would become the beginning of our love story.

We were young, and what started casually soon became something real. Like any young couple, we had our share of growing pains, but time gave us the chance to grow, reflect, and find our way back to each other. Eventually, we realized that what we had was worth choosing, again and again.

Then came one of the most beautiful chapters of our lives: becoming parents to our first daughter. Building a family taught us that love is more than butterflies and sweet moments. It's about patience, sacrifice, growing together, and choosing each other even on the difficult days.

Now, after all the unexpected turns and the life we've built together, we're ready for our next chapter.

From college classmates to life partners, from a spontaneous “yes” to a promise of forever—we're choosing to stand before God and commit to a lifetime of love, faith, and partnership. We may not have had the perfect beginning, but we're grateful for the journey that brought us here.

Who would have thought that one unexpected question could lead to a lifetime?

**“Eh ako, puwede ba?”**

The answer is still yes—and this time, it's yes for a lifetime. 🤍
