Our Love Story

This is the story of two people in love. A joyful story—not just about romance and happiness, but also filled with trials and challenges. They came from different places: he was from Quezon City, and she was from Rodriguez, Rizal. They met in college, both pursuing Civil Engineering.

They were studying at the Technological Institute of the Philippines in Quezon City. Their first time being classmates was during a summer class, where they ended up in the same group for a reporting assignment. Back then, their conversations were limited to schoolwork. It was already their fourth semester, and both were pushing through the struggles of nearing graduation.

Time flew by, and eventually, they were classmates again during the regular semester. They found themselves sharing almost every class—naturally leading to more time spent with one another. During breaks, they would sit together, eat, exchange stories, and talk about school. That’s when they truly got to know each other.

Their conversations deepened over time, moving beyond academics. They talked about movies, especially Marvel films—something they both loved. Even now, whenever a new Marvel movie hits theaters, they make it a point to watch it together. From those little exchanges grew a connection that became a constant—daily conversations that stretched into the night.

Eventually, he realized he had feelings for her. He found himself always looking forward to her messages.

After graduation, their group planned an out-of-town trip to Zambales. That’s where he intended to confess his feelings—but he never got the chance. Instead, right after the vacation, he finally gathered the courage to message her and confess how he felt. He even asked her out on a date. She was surprised and unsure. Torn between her feelings and the fear of ruining their friendship, she turned to her friends for advice. After several days of thinking things through, she decided to give him a chance.

After a year of courtship, they officially began their journey as a couple dated on 14th of February in year 2019. Like all relationships, theirs wasn’t without hardships. They faced challenges that tested their commitment, but overcoming those trials only made their bond stronger. The lessons they learned during those tough times continue to guide them today.

As young adults, they embraced opportunities and built a freelance lifestyle together. More challenges came their way, but once again, they overcame them—this time with a shared dream in mind: a future founded on mutual love, respect, and the joy of their fur babies—Lee, Lala, Lily, and Cookie.

After four years of being together, he finally decided it was time to propose. He remembered their promise to marry in their late twenties so he bought her dream engagement ring. But just as he were preparing to take the next step, more challenges appeared. His plans were put on hold. Still, he remained hopeful. 

A year later, like a prayer answered, the Lord opened a new door for them. He seized the moment and planned every detail of the proposal. He invited her to what seemed like an ordinary dinner date. “Wear something elegant” he told her.

At the restaurant, she was surprised when he handed her a huge bouquet of flowers and suddenly knelt down in front of her, holding out the ring. She said “yes” right away—and for both of them, it was a moment they would treasure forever.



Now, they continue walking hand in hand—as fiancé and fiancée—preparing for their next beautiful chapter of their lives. Guided by the wisdom of their parents, supported by dear friends, and strengthened by faith, they look forward to a future filled with grace, purpose, and a love story written by the hand of God.
